PRE-HISTORIC TASTE OF COLLIN COUNTY

Randy Farmer and Vicki Day will give us a glimpse into our agricultural past. Find out how food of the Caddo Tribes of North Texas, our early settlers, and today's menus are related.

Enjoy dishes prepared by Kyra Effren, an award winning author and food historian, based on settlers recipes from around the area. Take updated recipes with you to try at home.

Our presentation is based on Randy's book, 'From Blackland Prairie to Blacktop, a History of Collin County'. He will be available immediately after the event to sign books and answer questions.

The Pre-historic Taste of Collin County is scheduled for Saturday, September 17th at 2:00PM here at the Collin County Historical Society. (North Texas History Center)

Admission is $7.50 for adults, $5.00 for seniors and veterans, and $3.00 for children.
